      <abstract xml:lang="en">
        <p>Although the Third Sector already constitutes a change agent building a sustainable society, a cultural journey, of self-perception and awareness of its identity, is needed. Therefore, the paper maps, through learning hubs and interviews, the perception of the Third Sector regarding the practice and culture of sustainability applied to the work of meeting social needs. Empirical material was collected through learning hubs and interviews. The analysis reveals the need to interconnect different aspects, e.g. economy, labor, relations, communication and organizational architecture, in order to act as a vehicle for social transformation. This framework is a basis for promoting capacity building measures concerning sustainability aimed at the Third Sector.</p>
