      <abstract xml:lang="en">
        <p>In the context of increasing longevity, ageing is no longer a private matter but a collective condition that calls for renewed pedagogical and relational responses. This introduction explores the intersection of care and education, reframing fragility as a space for relational and symbolic regeneration. Drawing from European frameworks of active ageing and supported by psychological research, the text promotes care as a generative, shared, and educational practice. It highlights the importance of relational quality, empowerment, and intergenerational connections in supporting older adults well-being. The panel contributions collected here offer diverse insights – from innovative models in residential care to artistic and technological interventions – revealing ageing not as decline, but as a transformative opportunity. Grounded in pedagogical and philosophical perspectives, particularly Heidegger’s notion of Sorge, the work invites us to reimagine ageing as a dimension of active citizenship and lifelong education.</p>
