        <p>The work concerns the scientific interpretation of the Management Consulting activity. After a conceptual framework of the distinctive characteristics that ideally qualify this activity, the analysis of the client ? consultant relational dynamics is developed along three paths: a synchronic approach (models of consulting relationship), a diachronic approach (dynamics of the consulting process) and an innovative approach, that is the cognitive one. The hope is that the mapping of meta-consultancy knowledge creation approaches will allow the client and the consultant to plan (and manage) the consultancy dynamics more effectively, as well as to evaluate the results of the consultancy project on the basis of cognitive value (creation of new skills and abilities) and on the basis of the economic value generated (cost reductions and / or increases in revenues achieved by the client, fees received by the consultant).</p>

        <p>Il lavoro ha ad oggetto l'interpretazione scientifica dell'attività di consulenza direzionale. Dopo un inquadramento concettuale dei caratteri distintivi che idealmente qualificano tale attività, l'analisi delle dinamiche relazionali cliente&amp;#8596;consulente si sviluppa lungo tre percorsi: quello sincronico (modelli di consulting relationship), quello diacronico (dinamica del processo consulenziale) e quello, innovativo, di tipo cognitivo. L'auspicio è che la mappatura dei percorsi di knowledge creation meta-consulenziale possa consentire al cliente ed al consulente di programmare (e governare) in modo più efficace le dinamiche consulenziali e di valutare i risultati del progetto di consulenza sulla base del valore cognitivo (creazione di nuove competenze e capacità), oltre che sulla base del valore economico (riduzioni dei costi e/o incrementi dei ricavi conseguiti dal cliente, compensi percepiti dal consulente) da esso generato.</p>
