        <p>In abstracto is an in-depth study of the work of Giuseppe Terragni's illustrious genius, seen in the analytical vision of an accurate research on abstraction in architecture. Abstraction presents itself as a paradigm of a path towards essence, a form sought by Terragni as "limpid, elementary and perfect" and, therefore, universal. «This book is more than just another book on Terragni. It is a careful look at that abstraction which is necessary and essential nowadays. Understanding the way Pireddu does in this beautiful text that abstract architecture, in abstracto architecture, is an essential architecture, means understanding everything in one go. It means understanding that abstraction, far from being coldness, is wealth. The wealth of freedom. Understanding that abstract architecture, in abstracto, is based on truth. And that beauty, the sought-after beauty, is the splendour of truth. As Plato taught and Sant'Agostino then explained.         <p>In abstracto è un approfondimento sull’opera dell’illustre ingegno di Giuseppe Terragni nella visione analitica di un’accurata ricerca sull’astrazione in architettura. L’astrazione si presenta come paradigma di un percorso verso l’essenza, una forma ricercata da Terragni come «limpida, elementare e perfetta» e, per questo, universale.
«Questo libro è qualcosa di più che un libro in più su Terragni. È un attento sguardo sull’astrazione che oggi è necessaria, imprescindibile. Comprendere, come fa Pireddu in questo bellissimo testo, che un’architettura astratta, in abstracto, è un’architettura essenziale, significa comprendere tutto in un colpo solo. Significa comprendere che l’astrazione, lungi dall’essere freddezza, è ricchezza. La ricchezza della libertà. Comprendere che un’architettura astratta, in abstracto, si basa sulla verità. E che la bellezza, la ricercata bellezza, è lo splendore della verità. Come insegnò Platone e spiegò Sant’Agostino.
