The book creates an interdisciplinary, interpretative dialogue, and proposes a reading of architecture as a language, identifying its symbolic and stylistic features as means of expression. The rhetorical structures of this language are compared with the history and categories of classical rhetoric, but also with advertising, that is advertising and architecture intended as arts of persuasion on an emotional level.
Costruendo un dialogo interpretativo interdisciplinare il libro propone una lettura dell'architettura come un linguaggio e quindi ne rintraccia gli stilemi simbolici come mezzi di espressione. Le strutture retoriche di questo linguaggio vengono confrontate con la storia e le categorie della retorica classica, ma anche con la pubblicitĂ , intendendo pubblicitĂ ed architettura come arti di persuasione a livello emotivo.
