For the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the University of Florence, each Faculty belonging to the University was invited by the Academic Senate to designate a high profile international personality to be conferred an honorary degree. The volume collects the “laudatio” delivered by the deans of the Faculties while conferring the honorary degree and the “lectio doctoralis” delivered in the Aula Magna of the University by the recipients.
In occasione delle manifestazioni per gli ottant'anni dell'Università degli Studi diFirenze ciascuna Facoltà dell'Ateneo fiorentino è stata invitata dal Senato Accademicoa designare una personalità di alto profilo internazionale cui conferire la laurea honoriscausa. Il volume raccoglie le laudatio pronunciate dai presidi delle Facoltà conferenti la laurea honoris causa e le lectio doctoralis pronunciate nell'Aula Magna dell'Università dagli insigniti.
