Are there "aesthetic" objects? And if so, how can we define them? This book, containing 23 contributions resulting from an Aesthetics Seminar and a Conference of the Italian Philosophical Society, tries to answer these questions, questioning the notion of aesthetic object, in its distinction from that of artistic object. A first theoretical part, aimed at identifying the aesthetic properties of an object with respect to the physical and semantic ones, is followed by a historical-aesthetic section where the question is analyzed in its theoretical effects within the junctions of contemporary aesthetics. Finally, a third part is dedicated to grasping the object dimension in specific moments of contemporary art.

Esistono oggetti "estetici"?
