The book - aimed at scientists, industries and regulatory agencies concerned with plastic products - provides detailed coverage of the analytical consequences of both chemical events, such as interactions in polymer/additive formulations, and physical aspects of additives in polymers, in relation to product quality and functionality, organoleptics, health, safety and environment. The text is replete with case studies of recent industrial problem solving, involving a great variety of additive classes (antioxidants, flame retardants, plasticisers, pigments, lubricants and others), polymers and their applications (food contact, medical, automotive, etc.) and is illustrated with 200 figures and tables.
